Full Field for Calhoun County Special Election

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-  Qualifying for the November 6th Calhoun County Chancery Clerk Special Election wrapped up Friday (9-7) afternoon.

At last check, 9 people had filled out the proper paperwork and met the necessary requirements.

They are :  Whitney Casey, Jimmy Clemons, Gary Edwards, Jeff Hamilton, Mark Harrellson, Tommy Keeton, Sarah Weeks Longest,  Ramona Tilman, and Suzanne Wade.

Jess Moore, who was the lone candidate on last year’s ballot, resigned after being indicted for embezzlement.

The winner will serve the remainder of his term.
