Fred’s closing multiple Mississippi stores

• MEMPHIS (WCBI) – Long time Mid South discount store Fred’s is closing 159 stores including several in the area. 
• The company announced Thursday the store closings and an inventory reduction at more than 300 other spots.   The area stores which will close include the following:
• Aberdeen: 107 N Meridian St
• Columbus: 304 5th St S
• Columbus: 201 G Alabama St
• Tupelo: 809 Varsity Dr
• Tupelo: 1776 McCullough Blvd
• West Point: 26591 E Main St   

The stores going out of business will start their closing sales immediately with plans to have the stores liquidated by the end of May.
