Four-Wheeler Flips, Killing Man In Winston County

WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Noxapater man is dead after flipping an ATV this weekend.

Jason Garrard flipped his four-wheeler on Highway 490 near Nanih Waiya Sunday.

Winston County Sheriff Jason Pugh says Garrard was not hit by another vehicle.

He believes at this point, a malfunction with the front end of the four-wheeler caused the deadly accident.

Sadly, he wasn’t wearing a helmet, and suffered massive head trauma.

Winston County Coroner Scott Gregory says Garrard died in the ER at Winston Medical Center, Sunday.

The sheriff says Garrard was a volunteer firefighter in Winston County.
