Former WPPD Officer Indicted For Embezzlement

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – A former West Point police officer is indicted on an embezzlement charge.

You may recall, last October we reported that city leaders fired Detective Shaun Keller.

The 41-year-old was booked into the Clay County Jail late this afternoon, April 5.

Keller was being investigated by at least one state agency.

Keller is accused of taking more than $3,900 in August 2017.

The indictment says the money was previously seized by the city of West Point.

City leaders have not commented on the investigation.

Keller’s bond was set at $10,000.
