Former Teacher Pleads Guilty

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A 25-year-old former Lee County substitute teacher pleads guilty to enticing a child for sexual purposes.

Matthew Blake Whitt faces at least 10 years in prison when he is sentenced later this year. He pleaded guilty in federal court today.

He was arrested earlier this year in Lee County for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old Mooreville student. The federal charges came out of that investigation.

The state charges still are pending.
