Former Teacher Charged With Fraud

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Oktibbeha County deputies are still trying to figure how many items a former teacher allegedly bought with someone else’s money.

45 year-old Jennifer Baggett is charged with six counts of Fraudulently Obtaining Goods by False Identification.

Investigator Brett Watson says multiple credit and debit cards are involved.

Citing an ongoing investigation, Watson could not say how many items Baggett is accused of buying or obtaining.

A Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District spokesperson says Baggett is no longer employed with the school district.

Baggett remains in the Oktibbeha County jail on a $60,000 bond.
