Former Park Ranger Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charge

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A former park ranger will spend five years in prison on a child porn charge.

Robert Powell, 46, pleaded guilty to exploitation of a child.

He was arrested in February of 2015.

Lowndes County investigators say Powell had pornographic images on a computer.

The Columbus man must also pay a $10,000 fine and register as a sex offender.

He will also serve five years probation.
