Former MSU Grad’s Arrest Raises Child Abuse Issues
SAN FRANCISCO (WCBI) — A professional golf management graduate from Mississippi State is charged with sexually abusing some of his golf students.
And now authorities are trying to determine if there were more possible victims in this area.
Investigators in San Francisco say 31-year-old Andrew Nisbet has been arrested on 65 counts of pedophilia involving two boys, one as young as 12. He is accused of performing sex acts on the boys at the golf course where he was a high-profile youth golf instructor and at tournaments.
Nisbet was at Mississippi State from 2000 until 2004 and then was golf pro at the Country Club of Birmingham before going to Los Positas Golf Course in California in 2006.
Investigators say they’ve been told there potentially are victims in Mississippi and Alabama.
