Former Mayor Dies of Heart Attack

MABEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Former Mayor of Maben passes away Saturday.

Close friends says,  Jim Harris Johnson died in the early morning hours at his home of a heart attack. Johnson was 71 years old and was a staple in the community of Maben. He and his wife Betty Burgess owned and operated the B&J corner stop. Johnson was a log time logger and served as Mayor of Maben for two terms.
