Former Fire Chief In Hot Water Following Theft Charges

MILLPORT, Ala. (WCBI) – The former Millport, Alabama fire chief is indicted on theft charges.

Jeremy Terry, 39, is charged with Theft of Property First Degree.

Terry was the fire chief during the time of the alleged crime.

He was chosen by other firemen to become chief early last year and resigned a few months ago.

The investigation started this past November.

Mayor Stanley Allred says the town is working with the district attorney’s office and investigators but could not comment further.
