Flooding caused a train to derail east of Brandon

BRANDON, Miss. (WCBI) – Flooding caused a train to derail east of Brandon.

Two cars carrying carbon dioxide came off the tracks between highway 471 and north street.

Brandon Mayor Butch Lee says a storm drain washed out a portion of the tracks.

A crew from Meridian was called in to get the Kansas City Souther Train back in service.
