UNDATED – (WCBI) – Flooding is becoming a major concern this Christmas Day across the region.
Chickasaw, Monroe and Calhoun Counties are all reporting widespread flooding in their areas with multiple roads underwater. Homes are being flooded in several areas. The forecast calls for the slow moving weather system to continue to dump more water on areas which have been receiving rain for the past several hours. The forecast calls for some areas to receive up to 5 inches of rain with some locally heavier amounts. Sate troopers are advising against travel unless its absolutely necessary and to make certain you do not drive into areas where water is across the road.
