Fire Victim’s Funeral Services Set

COLUMBUS, MISS. (WCBI) – The funeral services for 11-year-old Oranjula Shanklin have been finalized.

The visitation will be on Friday October 10th, from 12pm-5pm at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home in Columbus.

The funeral service will be Saturday October 11th, at 2 pm at New Beginning Church in Columbus.

New Beginning is located at 318 Idlewild Rd, Columbus, MS 39702.

A meal will be served after the funeral at Columbus High School.

Any side dish is appreciated at the meal.

Shanklin died in the Jamestown Apartments fire Wednesday morning.

She was a sixth grade student at Columbus Middle School.
