Fight Between Brothers Ends with Fatal Gunshot

VERONA, Miss. (WCBI-TV) — A fist fight between two brothers turns deadly in Verona when one picks up a gun.

22 year old Bryson Heard and his younger brother Christopher, age 20, were apparently arguing about their mother.

Verona Police investigators tell WCBI-TV the argument ended when the younger Heard picked up a 9 millimeter gun and fatally wounded his sibling.

The shooting happened Thursday evening on Brevard Place.

Investigators say Heard fled the scene and the area, driving first to Memphis, then Holly Springs, and New Albany before police caught up with him back in Tupelo on Coley Road.

Heard is charged with murder. His bond is set at one million dollars.
