Federal Lawsuit Against Tupelo Looms

TUPELO, Miss. ( WCBI) — A federal lawsuit against the City of Tupelo is expected tobe filed by the family of Ronnie Shumpert.

Shumpert family Attorney Carlos Moore of Grenada says he intends to file the suit in Aberdeen Federal Court sometime Thursday.

Tupelo council members are already anticipating the filing and have already set a special called meeting at 4:30 p.m. to discuss possible lawsuits.

More says he will hold a briefing at 4 p.m. to answer media questions about the lawsuit.
