Federal Jury Clears Amory Man Of Enticement Charge

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) – An Amory man charged with enticement of a child for sexual purposes was acquitted by a federal jury Tuesday in Oxford.

Christopher Pickle originally pleaded guilty to the charges July 1, 2013, while being represented by a court appointed defender. When Pickle hired Chris Kitchens as his attorney, he was allowed to withdraw the plea of guilty.

The federal charge of enticement of a minor for sexual activity is punishable by 10 years to life in prison.

Pickle was one of at least a dozen North Mississippi men charged by the Tupelo Police Department for child enticement.

He is the second man represented by Kitchens to be acquitted on child enticement charges by arguing they were victims of entrapment. Bradley Gilmore was acquitted in October 2013.
