Father and Neighbor React to the Shooting Death of Aberdeen Teen

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) –Aberdeen Police are still investigating the death of a teenager in the city

Seventeen year old, LaQuinton Walker was found dead around 7 o’clock Sunday morning.

His body was found only three houses from his grandmothers house on Lowndes Street, where he had been staying.

Coroner Alan Gurley says Walker had been shot.

Walker’s father, Develent McMillian is still in shock.

He was on his way home, and they snuck up on him and shot him. That’s what I think. Where is his home? Right there at this trailer right here. And show me where they found his body. Right here. He was laying right here. Legs shoes and foot right here. His butt right here. And, his head right there. His head was against the tree. He bled out right in there…against the tree. I talked to my daughter…was telling her what went on this morning. They were like they seen him at the BP store like the early part of yesterday. He had headphones in his ears and it was like a normal day.”

And, I know this morning when I talked to my mom…she had called me this morning around 7:30 or 8:00 she said she had heard shots like close range shots and said it might have been like 4 shots and she said she heard them and she couldn’t go back to sleep and she heard some slight commotion but she was not for sure but she was not going to get up and check it out. i know his family he was a good kid I never had any problems with him”

The Aberdeen Police Department is in charge of the investigation.
