UPDATE: Victim Identified in Main Street Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss ( WCBI) -Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant has released the name of the victim in a shooting investigation.

23-year-old Deanthony Jones, of Columbus was shot at 10:51 Tuesday night, at the Sandfield One Stop Convenience Store.

Jones was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Jones was not an employee of the store.

The shooting remains under investigation.
