Fatal Accident in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A 51 year old man is killed in a one vehicle accident in Monroe County.

Deputies got the call about 12:15 Friday (8-23)  afternoon.

James Wayne Reese, of Smithville, was eastbound on McCullen Road when apparently lost control of his 19-95 Nissan pickup truck and hit a tree.

According to Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley, Reese died at the scene from multiple trauma.

He was wearing a seat belt.

This is the fourth fatal vehicle accident, this month, in Monroe County
