Family Dispute Turns Deadly in Eupora

EUPORA, Miss.(WCBI) — One man is dead in Eupora after a dispute Saturday evening.

Police were called to a house in West Wood neighborhood for a shooting.

Eurpora Police Chief Greg Hunter says when they arrived, Larry McMillian,65 had shot and killed 61-year old , Jessie McMillian.

The two are brothers.

Chief Hunter says Jessie was shot nine times outside of their mother’s home.

A third brother told WCBI that during an argument, Jessie was getting into his truck to leave and Larry believed that he was going to grab a gun and that is when Larry ran inside grabbed a gun, then came out and shot Jessie.

Chief Hunter says Larry McMillian has been arrested and charged with murder.

He has a bond hearing Monday.

According to loved ones, Jessie was a local pastor who enjoyed helping others.
