Video: Environmental Camp
CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Choctaw County Lake is the backdrop for a camp to learn about the outdoors.
The second annual Environmental Day Camp was hosted by the MSU Extension Service.
Kids are learning about ATV, boating, and gun safety.
They’re also doing crafts by making masks out of natural products.
Organizers say the campers are also learning about water testing and exercise.
The extension service has one main goal for the camp.
“Our main goal is to get the kids out of their homes, away from the video games and expose them to nature, their environment, and just keeping them abreast of what’s going on,” said Choctaw County MSU Extension Service Darrell Banks.
A lunch was provided at the free camp.
