Emergency suspension of infant care notice sent to Guntown daycare

GUNTOWN, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi State Department of Health said it had sent a notice of the emergency suspension of infant care to Sunshine Preschool and Daycare.

That’s where a worker found a five-month-old baby unresponsive on Tuesday afternoon. The baby was rushed to the hospital and passed away.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said foul play was not suspected.

An autopsy will be done at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
