EMCC’s Communiversity to host open house

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The next generation of work-force training development in the Golden Triangle will be on display this week.

East Mississippi Community College’s Communiversity will host an open house Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Construction was recently completed on the $42 million facility.

EMCC said the Communiversity represents a partnership between local school districts, EMCC, and area industry to create trained workers.

There are 16 classrooms and 21 high bay learning areas.

The Communiversity is expected to start training its first students this fall.
