Video: Update: Eight Injured In Lowndes County Crash

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Eight people are injured in a three car crash on Tuesday evening in Lowndes County.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Spokesman MSGT Criss Turnipseed said one of the people hurt was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
The accident happened on Highway 69, just before 6:30 P.M.
MHP says its initial investigation shows a driver was turning into Fantasyland when their vehicle was nearly hit head-on, then there was a second crash.
The highway was shut down for more than an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.
Seven people were taken to Baptist Golden Triangle with non-life threatening injuries.
The person taken to Tupelo is in stable condition.
Troopers continue to investigate the accident.
