Eight ICC Soccer Players Selected as MACJC All-Stars
FULTON, Miss. (WCBI/LetsGoICC.com) – The Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) announced its 2014 All-Star soccer teams, with eight Itawamba Community College student-athletes earning spots on this year’s teams.
“We are excited about being so well represented in the all-star games,” said Coach Mike Sullivan. “It’s the second all-star event the league has had and hopefully it will continue to grow in the future.”
Coach Sullivan will coach the women’s team that will include defender Reagan Hern (Columbus), midfielder and defender Hannah Miller (Vicksburg), and keeper Emily Munn (Pontotoc).
Midfielder Dylan Howard (Starkville), striker Anthony Fernandez (New Albany), midfielder Evan Thomas (Amory), midfielder Ricky Hackler (Columbus), and defender Kit Huddleston (Tupelo) will represent the Indians in the men’s match.
“It’s going to be a great weekend and hopefully the North can come home with a pair of wins, but we are super excited for the players that will be representing us this weekend,” said Sullivan.
The all-star event will be Saturday, November 15 with the women’s match starting at 2:00 p.m. and the men will following at 4:30 at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland, MS.
