Educator of the Week

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – One Tupelo instructor is teaching future mechanics how to focus on the road ahead. 

“His qualities are over the top, he loves his students and you can tell by the way he engages them in class by the way he calls them professionally by their last name,” said student services coordinator April Cardenas. 

Derek Bradley is our Educator of the Week, because he’s teaching kids how to have the right work ethic in any field. 

“I try to show them, look it may not be the most popular thing, but I take care of my family doing it,” said Bradley. “I take care of my wife and kids doing it and they can do the same thing.”

Right now students are learning the different parts that make up cars, and how to repair wrecked vehicles. 

Mr. Bradley says the automotive field may not be the most glamorous, but its a career path that is often over-looked.
