Duo accused of stealing $1,200 worth of cigarettes from Starkville business
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville police light-up an alleged cigarette scam and send two people packing to jail.
Jessie Carpenter, 39, was charged with grand larceny and Falon Prator, 32, was charged with accessory after the fact.
Investigators say Carpenter and Prator worked together to steal 12 hundred dollars worth of cigarettes from a South Jackson Street Sprint Mart store.
Carpenter is then accused of selling the smokes to Westside Market.
The duo remains in jail on a $5,000 each.
