Video: Downtown Columbus Car Fire

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A downtown Columbus driver is without a ride after his car goes up in flames.

Firefighters say the unidentified man’s 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo started smoking and then the driver saw flames.

He pulled over on Main Street in front of the old Varsity Theater.

The driver was not injured and firemen were able to quickly put the flames out.
