Domestic disturbance turns into death investigation in Lafayette County

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A call about a domestic disturbance turned into a death investigation in Lafayette County.

Lafayette County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call around 8:30 p.m. at a home on County Road 181.

When they got there, they found one person unresponsive.

Deputies gave emergency first aid until paramedics and EMTs with Baptist Ambulance and the Lafayette County Fire Department got to the scene.

The person died at the scene.

A suspect was found at the home and taken into custody.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.
