Disturbance Call Escalates To Officer Involved Shooting

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A disturbance call in Tishomingo County leads to an officer involved shooting.

On Wednesday, deputies responded to a disturbance call at a home in the Burnsville area.

Possible gunshots were reported so extra precautions were taken when officers arrived on scene.

However, we’re told by investigators an officer was involved in a shooting while responding to the call.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has been notified and will be handling the investigation.
