Diners At Tupelo’s Harvey’s Help St Jude During Celeb Wait Night
TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI ) – Diners at a popular Tupelo restaurant enjoyed great food and were able to help a great cause.
On Tuesday evening, Harvey’s Restaurant in Tupelo hosted a “Celebrity Wait Night” and all tips went to benefit St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
There were a number of local celebrities who doubled as waiters and waitersses for the event. Among them, former Bulldog Quarterback Tyler Russell, Miss Tombigbee Alivia Roberts, Cafe 212 Owner Jason Hayden, Independent filmmaker Glenn Payne, Singer Tara Nichole Nolan, Keith Cochran, pastor of West Jackson Street Baptist Church, Jaime Hofmister, state director for Woodmen of the World , St Jude patient Jorden Daniel and WCBI’s Allie Martin and Alyssa Martin.
Participants say they are honored to help St Jude.
“I kind of compare it to trying to learn a play and trying to get a play into the other guys and that’s kind of like how this is, it’s everybody working together to accomplish one goal and it’s been great,” Tyler Russell said.
“St Jude as we all know is a fantastic organization, it’s just amazing that families can go in there with children and never get a bill so anything that I can do to help out with to help that organization I’m willing to do,” said Cafe 212 Owner Jason Hayden.
If you missed Tuesday evening’s event, another Celebrity Wait Night for St Jude will take place later in the year.
