DEVELOPING: Three Overnight Shootings In Columbus
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Police are investigating multiple Saturday night shootings.
On April 1st at approximately 10:21 p.m., Columbus Police received a report of shots being fired in the area of 15thAvenue South and 4th Street South. No one was injured and the shooting is under investigation.
Then, at around 10:34 p.m., Columbus Police responded to the 1300 block of 5th Street South to a report of vehicle which was shot multiple times.
The driver of the vehicle stated he left the vehicle in the yard at 1329 5th Street South and was not at the location when the shooting occurred.
No one was injured and that shooting is also under investigation.
Then, at around 10:53 p.m., Columbus Police responded to the 801 Military Road to a report of a gunshot victim.
Officers found a 26-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the Baptist Memorial Hospital by ambulance. This shooting is also under investigation.
There is no information on the condition of the victim at this time.
