Death investigation underway in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Louisville Police are investigating the death of a man found with a gunshot wound Monday morning.

Police Chief Sean Holdiness said officers responded to a home on North Court Avenue just before 9 o’clock this morning. Inside they found Lee Andrew Hughes Jr., 27,  dead.

Holdiness said they are trying to determine if the gunshot was self-inflicted or a homicide.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the case.
