Video: Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Columbus off Highway 12

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A motorcycle accident sent two people to the hospital, after crashing with another vehicle near the Columbus Nissan on Highway 12.

The accident happened about 2:30 Saturday afternoon.

Police say a car traveling west bound on Highway 12 turned into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle driver tried to avoid colliding with the car and crashed.

The driver of the cycle, 41-year old John Bryant, was pronounced dead at Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital.

Bryant’s 12-year-old son suffered serious injuries and was flown to University Medical Center in Jackson.
