GOLDEN TRIANGLE, Miss. – (WCBI) The fall season has several distinct marker. From the brilliant colors as leaves begin to change, to the roar of a crowd during a Saturday afternoon football game. The fall of 2012 has been filled with adventure, thanks to the “Day in the Life” series.
Safety was the name of the game this season. I worked as a crossing guard, as learned the ropes of controlling traffic. I traveled to new heights with the installation of a home alarm, with the delightful crew of Alarm One. I hit the ground with technology with Atmos Gas in search of gas lines.
Fall is also known for its oldest traditions and popular past times. I enjoyed my afternoon with gunsmith Ed Sanders of West Point, as he was cleaning and repairing several firearms for hunting season.
I also has the opportunity to spend a beautiful afternoon, and channel my inner child, at the Country Pumpkins in Caledonia. With 72 different types of pumpkins and gourds, and not to mention tons of games for kids of all ages, I will always remember the spin on the tire swing and the tour through the farm.
As one season comes to a close, another is right behind it. This one is known as the season of giving. I am now in search of those business owners or community members who have given back to those who have supported them. You better believe, this season will be as interesting as the last. Until then, this is just one more day in the life.
