TUPELO, Miss. ( WCBI) — It was wet but not too cold for dozens of dedicated runners in Tupelo Saturday.
It was the fourth annual Silence Hides Violence 5K run/walk at Ballard Park.
February is National Dating Violence Month and the run is a way to get the public more aware of dating violence.
The event was started in 2012 by Kaitlyn Kincaid as her senior project at Tupelo High School. Kincaid, who took part in this year’s event was herself a dating violence victim.
