Curtis Flowers Latest Appeal Denied
JACKSON (WCBI) – The 22 year old legal case surrounding a Winona quadruple murder case might finally be winding to a close.
The Mississippi Supreme Court Thursday declined to rehear Curtis Flowers appeal of a November 2017 State Court of Appeals case upholding his conviction and four death sentences. Today’s move gets the first set of appeals complete but a new appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court is possible.
Flowers was actually tried 6 times for the murders of the owner and three workers at the Tardy Furniture Store in Winona. Five of those convictions were thrown out before the current sentence was delivered.
