Crossroads Church Fire

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Fire crews respond to an early Tuesday morning blaze that completely destroyed an area church.

Mike Collins with the Mathiston Fire Department says, crews were dispatched to CrossRoads Church on Crossroads Church Road around 5:25a.m. When they arrived the fire was fully involved. Volunteer fire units with Maben and Choctaw County responded to the call to assist the Mathiston Fire Department. No one was in the building at the time of the fire. Fire crews stayed on the scene well into the morning to deal with hot spots.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
