The 42-year-old Ridgeland resident was formerly Clarksdale-area president of Southern Bancorp Bank, which is based in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Good timing led Monroe County deputies to an accused thief.

Prosecutors said the alleged incident happened last August at a home on North Long Street.

The Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department arrested the suspect Thursday.

Investigators say that no one was injured in the shooting.
