Lowndes County deputies were contacted by the victim's mother

Once they got to the jail investigators say he tried to chew up a bag with what they think was methamphetamine inside.

Just after 10 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to reports of a person lying in the road on County Road 2.

Martha Taubman, and the person who was served the arrest warrant, were taken to Tishomingo County Jail.

Tupelo Police said they went to North Mississippi Medical Center Emergency Room after receiving a call about a stabbing victim. 

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a car that had left the road on Greensboro Street. 

Both Langstons remain behind bars.
