Crash kills pedestrian in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said the victim’s name isn’t known at this time.

The body has been sent to the crime lab in Pearl to assist with identification.

Troop F Public Affairs Officer Corporal Jason Roe says it happened Saturday night, on the north-bound side of Highway 45, just south of Brewer Road.

He said one car was stopped and investigators are still working to see if other cars were involved.
