Crash Claims One Life

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is still investigating a two-vehicle crash in Prentiss County that claimed the life of a Booneville woman.

Troopers responded to the intersection of MS 4 and County Road 8301, west of Booneville, at approximately 1:45pm, Friday.

Upon arriving it appeared Martha E Cole, 62, of Booneville, was traveling east, in a 2009 Nissan Altima, near County Road 8301 when a 2000 Ford F-150, driven by Tyler K Clemmer, 19, of Ripley, collided into the rear of her vehicle.

Cole received fatal injuries in the crash and died on the scene.

Clemmer was uninjured.
