Couple Of Suspected Burglars Arrested Thanks To Off-Duty Cop
TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A couple of burglary suspects are in custody thanks, in part, to an off-duty police officer.
On August 26, a homeowner reported stolen items valuing approximately $1,400, such as medications, a safe, checkbook, camera, 200 rounds of assorted ammunition and 2 handguns.
The next day, an off-duty police officer for the Greenwood Police Department received a call about two suspicious subjects.
The individuals were detained by Greenwood P.D. and the following day, Tishomingo officials transported the individuals back to Tishomingo County.
18 year old, Vincent Mailhot, of Iuka, was officially charged with Grand Larceny.
Kennedie Beam, also 18 and from Iuka, was officially charged with Felony Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, Burglary.
Both suspects are awaiting bond to be set, although Mailhot is currently out on felony bond for a Burglary of a Dwelling.
