Video: Coroner Releases Initial Autopsy Results In Officer Involved Shooting

COLUMBUS, MS (WCBI) -New details today on the fatal shooting involving a Columbus Police officer.
Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant tells WCBI News the preliminary autopsy results show Ricky Ball was hit twice by bullets fired by a Columbus policeman during a Friday night incident. Merchant says Ball was hit in the upper and lower body and the preliminary cause of death is being listed as blood loss due to a gunshot wound. These results are not final and toxicology results are still pending. Ball was a passenger inside a car stopped by officers and fled when officers approached. There was some type of struggle before Ball was shot. Three officers are on paid administrative leave while the investigation into the case continues.
