Coronavirus mobile testing site comes to Eupora
EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI) – A Coronavirus mobile testing site was set up in Eupora Thursday as state health leaders work to slow the spread of the disease.
The dozens of patients being screened were given a nose swab without having to exit their vehicles.
The testing was appointment only. Only those with symptoms of the virus could be treated.
University of Mississippi Medical Center led the testing operations, and will notify all patients the results.
“Together we can make it more convenient for communities with a large number of cases, or perhaps some testing gaps help prevent further transmission. Our goal is to test, identify possible cases, provide counsel, and investigate possible exposures,” said MSDH site coordinator
Along with UMMC., the State Department of Health, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and d National Guard helped with the mobile testing.
