Contracts awarded to several N. Mississippi towns for road, bridge repairs
JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Several North Mississippi counties received contracts for road and bridge repairs.
Clay County will get $888,319 for bridge preservation on State Route 50, over Chuquatonchee Creek.
Lee County received a contract for bridge preservation as well, for State Route 145.
Mississippi Transportation Commission gave the county $801,167.
And Monroe County got $4.9 million to mill and overlay about 10 miles of road on Highway 54 from Aberdeen city limits to Dryden Road.
MDOT planned to release information on traffic impacts and repair timelines when construction starts.
