Confrontation leads to jail return for Webster County man
WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Webster County man found himself back in jail after being accused of accosting a law enforcement officer.
Craig Beck was charged with retaliation against a public servant in Oktibbeha County.
Investigators said Beck reportedly approached a Webster County deputy while he was in a restaurant with his family in the Starkville area.
Webster County Sheriff David Gore said Beck had been arrested and indicted in Webster County for rape.
Gore said Beck’s bond was revoked and he was sent back to jail.
Beck’s rape trial is scheduled to be during the next court term.
