Video: Columbus Shooting Suspect Caught

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – After a day and a half on the lam, Columbus police have their man.

Officers caught up with Orlando Harris at a home on Avenue “A” around 4 o’clock Friday (8-16) afternoon.

Investigators think Harris was involved in a Wednesday (8-14)  night shooting that left Lionel Hampton with bullet wounds to his thigh.

The crime happened in the Dean Acres Subdivision.

Investigators think Harris was one of two masked men who broke into portable building near a home.

At least one other arrest is expected in this case.
