Columbus Restaurant Honors Local Mothers

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Some Columbus moms got an early Mother’s Day treat Thursday.

“Helen’s Kitchen” hosted its annual citywide Mother’s Day luncheon.

Hundreds of moms came to the free event at the community center at Sim Scott park. They were treated to a traditional soul food meal with all the trimmings and live entertainment.

The hosts also had a special tribute to the mothers to show their appreciation.
