VIDEO: Columbus Police Searching For Suspect or Suspects In 2 Armed Robberies

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Columbus Police are currently investigating two robberies that took place Saturday night, both on Waterworks Road.

Assistant Police Chief Fred Shelton says the first one happened at around 9:40 PM at the 3 Way Quick Stop at 1313 Waterworks Road. A man allegedly ran out of the convenience store with cash in hand. Minutes later another call went out that a robber held up 5 Star Grocery at 515 Waterworks Road.

Both were armed robberies. Shelton says they are still investigating and do not know if there is a connection between the two just yet.
